The room was bathed in a soft, golden light filtering through the curtains as dawn approached. Kiana lay peacefully on her bed, wrapped in the embrace of deep slumber. Her chest rose and fell rhythmically with each breath, her face serene and untroubled.
And there comes Mrs Malhotra (Kiana's mother). she was very angry on witnessing Kiana still sleeping and poured a jug of water to which KIana abruptly woke up and fell down from the cozy bed to hard floor.
" Sleeping beauty wakeup come on you are a grown up girl you are now 24 year old not any 5 year old child that has to be lectured now and then, be a little responsible. I just wonder how do you handle such a big company nobody can tell that you are a CEO. My mother said or yelled.
Yes I agree I am lazy as fuck but until someone provokes because when you provoke me I will make sure that you experience hell while living on Earth.
"Ok mumma now I am awake please give me a few minutes I will join you all on breakfast" I said to mumma and she left.
I got up from bed and went to washroom did my business after taking bath I wore my Formals as I have to go to office I did minimal makeup a moisturizer, a red lipstick and mascara. I only apply dark lipstick as after applying I don't need to apply any blush or anything it just completes my look and somehow I look bold and intimidating.
I came down and greeted mom, dad, bhai, bhabhi a good morning. After that mumma served us breakfast yes mumma is not that indian daily soap mother-in-law she is chill . While I was having my food in peace a chimpanzee yes my elder brother started irritating me he calls me a sloth which I accept because I do act like one. He loves me and is very protective for me but he won't say it loud.
"Hey polar bear enjoying breakfast" My brother said to me.
And I retorted him by saying' "Yes chimpanzee totally enjoying it any issues!
Seems like, Bhabhi somebody want's to sleep on couch tonight right.
He glared at me while bhabhi said ,"Yes Kiana somebody is eager to sleep on couch tonight as soon as these word's left from bhabhi's mouth. Bhai's face expression changed from glaring to soft expression which is only for bhabhi and me.
He asked Bhabhi, What did I do love?
You will punish me for this sloth!
And he started eating his food by saying sorry to me because bhabhi asked him so.
Ya he is totally whipped for her.
Then we all were talking about each other's work and suddenly my dad said he want's to talk about something important and we all could se seriousness was dripping from his tongue Yes he is a businessman he doesn't talk much until it is important or related to business. But before he could start I asked my mother , Why is dii ( elder sister) not coming why is she late for breakfast. My dii joins us from past few years otherwise she used to be locked in her room and used to had meals in her room itself but now she is better from last 2 -3 years she has accepted her reality.
After that incident she used to stay quiet, avoid any gathering, and doesn't like to meet new people. But now she has accepted her fate. As I asked my mother, Dii ascended the stairs with blank face and just said
"I am here sorry for being late". I responded by saying, No problem dii.
As she arrived dad said it's good that you came the conversation we are going to have is related to you. We all love dii and we respect her so half of the time we didn't invade her personal space. But something is going in Chetan Malhotra's(dad) business mind. We all shared a confused look to each other and that's where my father dropped a bomb.
" I have decided to get Riddhima married with Kapoor's"
As soon as those word's were left from dad's mouth dii's eyes welled up from tears.
I was in too shock to respond anything but after looking at di's face I quickly said.
"It will not happen"
That's when my dad's demeanor changed from calm to anger and it was visible. He knew my love for dii and when I am rejecting the alliance with Kapoor's that means there is some problem. So he just composed himself and said that they are rich and earn well they will keep dii happy she won't even have to ask for anything before opening her mouth everything will be at her feet. I knew because the name Kapoor comes on 1st position on billionare list and we are on 2nd number. Our families are friend's but none of our generation even look at each other because of that incident. And both the families don't know about that incident. I just asked Dad.
Which Kapoor?
There are lot of Kapoor's in that house and he replied me by saying,
Ayaan Kapoor that name was enough to send shivers down my spine. Di was just listening with tears in her eyes from our house only I know except dii and from Kapoor house only Ayaan knows except his brother and my dii's first and true love which is no more in this world. I was somewhere sad and angry because he knew about dii and his bhaiya.
So I just asked dad,
Is he okay with this alliance? And dad reverted by saying ,
He is not interested in this marriage and stuff he said it will profit his business as well as mine.
And now that was end of my tolerance I just said the truth which was very bitter but I don't care,
'' You know what dad you are selling your daughter's for business isn't this much money enough for you, where will you take this much money.
And he just snapped at me,
Lower your tone Ms Kiana Malhotra I am not your worker that you will remove your frustration on me and the place you are working is build by me.
I was about to retort back but then I heard dii's voice.
" I am ready to marry Ayaan Kapoor"
We all gasped hearing this. I know dii did this because she knows very well that dad would harm me or even remove me from the business so that she agree's.
As if I am dying for money
I have enough money that without working I can have a luxurious life without getting up from couch but by working I feel not only happy but also it is my stress buster.
Dii left the breakfast table and I was in hope that if I could convince dad to say no to this alliance.
I couldn't think of anything because if I say I will get him better partners that would be an idiotic move because Kapoor's are the best.
So lastly not left with any option I just begged to dad, "Please dad don't do this it is unfair with dii" And he just said I didn't asked for your or Riddhima's permission it was an exception she had to say yes either by hook or crook! And lastly I don't believe in fair and unfair everything is ok in business. Dad said.
And I just glanced at everyone Bhai and bhabhi very well knew that I am on the verge of blasting I simply made my out of the house to office.
I took my Lamborghini and gave a look to driver to which he understood that he doesn't have to join me because when I am angry I drive the car or you can say fly the car. YES I have raced multiple times.
I reached my office in 20 minutes when the route I chose takes atleast 55 minutes to reach my office. I made my way in and now the employees knew that I am hell angry and today anybody can get fired. I made my way to lift where my PA ,Vinay joined me. He kept his mouth shut because he can makeout from my face that it is better to stay in silence. I reached my cabin and just said him one think,
"Arrange a meeting with Ayaan Kapoor "
to which he nodded and left my cabin.
